Golden Days in Sunriver, Horizontal Geclee Print
I took this photo on one of my bike rides through Sunriver. A moment of pure bliss. Gliding along the trails in a warm November sun. The wind blows on my face as I peddle along the Deschutes River. The sun reflected off the golden grass. I pulled over to enjoy the beautiful landscape as the sun warmed my soul. These bike rides were moments of pure joy. Life felt weightless and my only concern was where to bike next. In these moments I could bike for hours until my legs gave out. I dream of these days, memories from my childhood come back to me, and I feel the joy I felt then. Sunriver has always been a special place to me, a place where my family used to go yearly, where I have some of my best family memories growing up. This painting reflects those times, those feelings.
This is a reproduction of “Golden Days”, a gouache painting with gold ink accents painted on 140lb hot pressed watercolor paper. This painting was completed in August 2021.
